To give you a brief overview of her theatrical education; she moved from Adelaide to Melbourne when she was 18 to complete full time dance at Jason
Coleman’s Ministry of Dance, she then moved to Sydney to continue musical theatre. From there, Alana was awarded a scholarship to the New York Film Academy to be part of their Musical Theatre conservatory. She moved to New York in 2011 and performed in New York until she moved back to Adelaide in 2015.
International shows include; Here Lies Love (‘Public Theatre’ Director Alex Timbers), A Cabaret Tribute NYC (Directoe Stafford Arrima) and Precious Moments Singapore Tour. During her time in New York, Alana was dance assistant to Deidre Goodwin “Chicago” (Broadway and Feature Film) for two years for the Broadway Dreams Foundation in NYC.
Local productions include “Thoroughly Modern Millie” (Millie, G&S Society) “Oklahoma!” (Ado Annie, Emma KnightsProductions), “Catch Me If You Can” (Marie Clark) “Chicago” (Emma Knights Productions), and “Leader of the Pack” (Crystals,U/S Ellie, NLTC) amongst others.
Dance and Television work: backup dancer MC Hammer, Australian TV series McCleods Daughters, Neighbours and Totally Wild.
