SACE Dance Teacher and Choreographer

Bachelor of Dance, Bachelor of Education, Advanced Skills Teacher 2 (AST 2)

My involvement in dance spans over 37 years when I began taking dance lessons in Jazz, Tap, Contemporary and Classical at Del Sante where most of my training was under the direction of Kerry Hauber. I completed a variety of exams in Classical (R.A.D.), Jazz, Tap and Theatrical (C.S.T.D) which enabled me to obtain the skills required to teach these specific styles of dance.

In 1997 I obtained a degree in Dance at the University of Adelaide and in 1999 completed a Degree in Education becoming a qualified High School Dance teacher. I have taught SACE Dance for 17 years with students consistently gaining outstanding results.

I have been involved in many high profile performances that I have instigated, lead and managed. This includes entries in the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge with Woodville High School winning in 2007 and 2nd place on 3 occasions. I have coached and choreograhed many successful High School Dance teams with consistent finals placement and National team representation at the National School Aerobics Championships (now Dance Star) receiving 2nd and 3rd place in the Senior Hip Hop section on 2 occasions. I have been involved in choreographing and leading many School Musicals, Arts Showcases and Come Out Productions and I ensure that students have the opportunity to perform in an extensive range of festivals and high profile public performances as well as participate in workshops run by industry professionals.
